Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and for how long.

This page names every place cobblemark.com collects information from a visitor — the contact form, the scoping-session submission, the newsletter capture, and GA4 analytics cookies — and tells you what we keep, why, and when it expires.

Section 01 / Scope

What this policy covers.

This policy describes the data cobblemark.com collects from three groups of people: visitors browsing the site, prospective clients submitting forms before a scoping call, and current clients receiving services from the practitioner. It covers the five surfaces where collection happens — the contact form, the scoping-session submission, the newsletter capture, Google Analytics 4 cookies, and the act of reaching out on /contact itself.

It does not cover data collected off-site — for example, a Calendly booking that travels through Calendly’s own forms, or billing information handled by a payment processor. Those vendors publish their own policies; you should read them when you land in their flow.

Cobblemark is the data controller for what this site collects. The practitioner is the only person with administrative access to the database. The hosting is provided by Polsia.

Section 02 / The five data-collection surfaces

Every place this site collects data.

The five subsections below name every place cobblemark.com collects information from a visitor. For each surface we list the fields, the purpose, where the data lives, how long it is retained, who can access it, and how to request its deletion.

02a · Contact form
/contact

The /contact form (contact-form module).

Submitting the /contact form adds a row to the contact_message table in the application database so the practitioner can reply to your inquiry.

Fields
  • · Name
  • · Email
  • · Message
  • · Submission timestamp
Purpose

To respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to a marketing list, sell the row, or share it with a third party.

Storage & retention

Postgres in the application database (table contact_message). Retained for the duration of any active engagement, and for 24 months after the last contact — whichever is shorter.

Access: practitioner only · Deletion: cobblemark@polsia.app
02b · Scoping-session submission
/book

The /book scoping-session submission (BookingLead).

Submitting /book captures the answers on the scoping-call intake form so the practitioner can prepare for the call. A copy of the row is appended to an internal spreadsheet for the same purpose — a sheet row reference, not a copy held on Google’s side. A confirmation email is sent to the address you provided.

Fields
  • · Name
  • · Email
  • · Company (optional)
  • · Business type
  • · Monthly revenue (range)
  • · Current marketing spend (range)
  • · Biggest pain
  • · Primary goal
  • · Timeline
  • · IANA timezone
  • · calendlyEventUri (set once a Calendly event is created)
Purpose

To prepare for the scoping call. The submission is also referenced in the confirmation email and in the practitioner’s call notes.

Storage & retention

Postgres in the application database (table booking_lead). Retained for 24 months after submission so the practitioner can refer back to intake answers.

Access: practitioner only · Deletion: cobblemark@polsia.app
02c · Newsletter capture
Waitlist + Mailchimp

Newsletter capture (waitlist module + Mailchimp sync).

Joining the newsletter adds your email to the waitlist table. When the Mailchimp integration ships, the same email address will be synced into a Mailchimp audience so we can send occasional product and launch updates through Mailchimp.

Fields
  • · Email
  • · Submission timestamp
Purpose

To send occasional product and launch updates. Each email carries an unsubscribe link through Mailchimp. You can also email us directly to remove your address from both the table and the audience.

Storage & retention

Postgres in the application database (table waitlist_entry); synced to a Mailchimp audience when the integration ships. Retained until you unsubscribe.

Unsubscribe: in every email, or email cobblemark@polsia.app
02d · Analytics cookies
Google Analytics 4

GA4 cookies (analytics).

Once this privacy page is live, cobblemark.com enables Google Analytics 4 to measure site traffic in aggregate. We do not enable Google’s advertising features, demographics, or interest signals — no personally identifying information is sent to Google.

Cookies
  • · _ga — 13 months
  • · _ga_<container-id> — 13 months
Purpose

Aggregated, pseudonymous site-traffic measurement — pages visited, referrer, country, device class. No PII is sent to Google.

How to disable

Through your browser’s cookie controls, or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. No advertising features or demographics/interest signals are enabled on this property.

Pseudonymous only · No PII to Google

Section 03 / How we handle your data

Plain posture, in plain language.

Hosted on Polsia

The application and database are hosted on Polsia infrastructure inside the United States. The practitioner is the only person with administrative database access.

No sale, no sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data with third parties. Mailchimp and Google Analytics receive only the fields listed in Section 02, scoped to their stated purpose.

Encrypted in transit

The site is served over HTTPS. Submissions travel over an encrypted channel from your browser to the application database.

Honor requests in ~30 days

Access, correction, export, and deletion requests submitted to cobblemark@polsia.app are honored within roughly thirty days, and sooner when feasible.

Sub-processors we share data with.

A sub-processor is a third party that handles data on our behalf so the site can do what it says it does. The current list, with what each one processes and where, is below. We add a new one only when the surface needs it, and we name it here before it goes live.

Mailchimp

Newsletter & launch emails

Newsletter / waitlist · United States

Receives only the email address and the date you joined the newsletter, so we can send occasional product and launch updates.

Google Analytics 4

Pseudonymous site analytics

Analytics cookies · United States & global edge

Receives an opaque client id plus page URLs, referrer, country, and device class. No PII is sent. No Google advertising features are enabled.

Polsia

Hosting & database operations

All application data · United States

Hosts the application and the Postgres database. Backs up the database. Routes outbound email for the contact form and /book confirmation.

Section 04 / Your rights

Access, correction, deletion.

Submitting any form on this site gives you four rights, all of which we honor: you can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct a field, ask us to export your data in a portable format, or ask us to delete your data. We do not charge for any of these requests.

To exercise any of these rights, email cobblemark@polsia.app from the address you used when submitting. Requests are honored in approximately thirty days. If your request requires verification we will reply with the steps we need to confirm your identity before acting.

Unsubscribing from the newsletter is the fastest right to exercise — every email we send contains a Mailchimp unsubscribe link, no email required.

Request a right

Email cobblemark@polsia.app with what you’d like us to do — copy, correct, export, or delete — and the address you submitted from.

Section 05 / Rights under CCPA & CPRA

California Consumer Privacy Act rights.

This section describes the rights California residents (and residents of states that have adopted comparable frameworks, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and Montana) have under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act. If you are a resident of any of these states, the rights below apply to any personal information Cobblemark holds about you.

We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. No data we collect on cobblemark.com — the contact form, the /book submission, the newsletter capture, or the GA4 cookies — is sold to a third party, rented, traded, or shared with a third party for cross-context behavioral targeting. Because no sale or sharing occurs, the right to opt out of sale or sharing will, if exercised, take the form of a confirmation that no such sale or sharing exists.

Cobblemark does not knowingly collect personal information from California consumers under the age of 16, and does not knowingly sell or share such information. Because we do not sell or share personal information, no opt-in mechanism is required and no California-specific deletion uplift attaches to any request we receive.

Right to Know

Ask what categories of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the business purpose, and the categories of third parties with whom it is shared. We respond with the data we hold scoped to your submission.

Right to Delete

Ask us to delete the personal information we have collected from you, subject to the standard CCPA exceptions (for example, completing a transaction, security, fraud prevention, complying with a legal obligation).

Right to Correct

Ask us to correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you. Corrections ship within the same ~30-day window.

Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Exercising this right will draw a written confirmation that no sale or sharing has occurred.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information

You may ask us to limit our use of sensitive personal information to that which is necessary to perform the services you have engaged us for. We do not collect sensitive personal information through this site.

Right to Non-Discrimination

We will not deny service, charge a different price, or provide a different level of quality to anyone who exercises a CCPA right.

Exercise a CCPA right

Email cobblemark@polsia.app with the right you wish to exercise and the address you submitted from. We honor all requests within ~30 days.

Section 06 / Rights under GDPR

General Data Protection Regulation rights.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation (or the UK GDPR) gives you the rights described below. Cobblemark’s engagement focus is US Main-Street businesses — EU/UK visitors to cobblemark.com are infrequent by design — but the rights described here apply to any personal data we hold about you regardless of where you visit from.

Cobblemark is the data controller for personal data this site collects. The lawful basis we rely on for each surface is mapped in the table below. We do not engage in automated decision-making that produces legal effects or similarly significant effects on a visitor — no profiling, no automated eligibility decisions, no automated marketing gating.

Lawful basis, per surface.

/contact submission

Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — submitting the form is the affirmative act.

/book scoping submission

Contractual necessity (Art. 6(1)(b)) — taking steps at your request to enter a paid engagement.

Newsletter capture

Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — submitting the form is the affirmative act. Withdraw any time via the unsubscribe link in any email.

GA4 cookies

Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) — pseudonymous, aggregated site-traffic measurement, with no advertising features enabled. You can opt out at any time via browser controls or the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Article 15–22 rights, in plain language.

Right of access (Art. 15)

Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you and information about how it is processed.

Right to rectification (Art. 16)

Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data we hold about you.

Right to erasure (Art. 17)

Ask us to delete your personal data, subject to the standard GDPR exceptions (legal obligation, public interest, archiving, legitimate-interest legal claims).

Right to restriction (Art. 18)

Ask us to pause processing of your personal data while a concern is investigated, while keeping the data stored.

Right to portability (Art. 20)

Receive the personal data you provided in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, or have it transmitted to another controller where technically feasible.

Right to object (Art. 21)

Object to processing that relies on legitimate interest. We will stop the processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests.

International transfers.

All data this site collects is hosted in the United States on Polsia infrastructure. Whenever a sub-processor handles personal data in a jurisdiction outside the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement for UK transfers, as applicable) as the transfer mechanism. The sub-processors currently in scope are Mailchimp (newsletter email), Google Analytics 4 (pseudonymous analytics), and Polsia (hosting).

The engagement itself targets US Main-Street businesses; EU/UK-based visitors are infrequent by design. If you are an EU/UK visitor and would like us to delete any data we hold about you, email cobblemark@polsia.app and we will honor that request within the timelines above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. We would prefer the chance to address any concern directly first, but that right is yours and is not contingent on engaging us.

Exercise a GDPR right

Email cobblemark@polsia.app with the right you wish to exercise and the address you submitted from. We honor all requests within ~30 days.

Section 07 / Changes to this policy

How updates ship.

Material changes to this policy — a new surface, a different retention period, a new vendor — are posted on this page with a refreshed “Last updated” date at the top. Editorial fixes that do not change the posture (a typo, a clearer sentence) may ship without a date bump.

Continued use of cobblemark.com after a material change ships constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you would like us to delete or export the data we hold about you before a change takes effect, email cobblemark@polsia.app before the new effective date.
